On Fandom and Toxic Environments
are you guys aware of how many people avoid the Bioware Social Network like the plague? I rather hope you don’t take that place as representative of the players in general considering how (IMO) utterly gross the people there tend to be. — rubyvroom
Sure, we’re aware that the BSN doesn’t constitute the be-all and end-all of BioWare’s fans (or simply people who play our games or are otherwise aware of them, if one sees “fans” in a purely positive context). They are certainly a group of passionate folks, and while I wouldn’t say they were all “utterly gross” as you put it I do agree that the overall tone of the forums has become increasingly toxic.

So, I surpassed my 300-follower mark yesterday :O That was a lovely birthday present. To say thanks to all the support over the last few months in which I’ve had this blog, I wanted to have a raffle with some sexy pinup prizes!
Here are the rules:
1.Reblog and like this post ONCE only. This effectively gives you two ‘raffle tickets’.
2.At the end of the raffle (in a week or something? Maybe sooner?? We’ll see) I will use a random number generator to grab a few numbers. Those I select will be the winners.
3.You HAVE to be following me at the time of the draw to qualify. This is to reward followers, so I’m not going to give it to some random reblogger. I will check the names against my follower list and if the person isn’t there I’ll just pick someone else.
4.You can follow me after seeing this reblogged somewhere else for it to count. I realise I am in danger of someone buggering off after getting art, but it’s a risk I’m going to have to take. So long as you’re following me at the time of the draw, I don’t mind when you do it.
Prizes (what people care about):
First place: A fully coloured pinup of a character of their choice. This will be of commission quality. Male, female, OC or fanart, I don’t mind! But no anthro, loli, shota etc etc.
Second place: A very tidy sketch or lineart (depending on how much time I have), again of a character of your choice.
Third place(s): Depending on how many enter I may offer more prizes. These would probably be topless bust sketches or sexy lingerie or something.

Unpopular Opinion Time
I’m not that upset that Marvel passed on Liberators. I love the idea of an all women team. I like Liu. And I like all the characters involve (especially Laura and Cecilia). But to me the team would feel so forced. Like there would be the obvious conflicts between the members about their different moral and ethics, but it just wouldn’t be compelling to me. And it just feels like Liu just using all her favorites in one book. Like I wouldn’t be surprised if Jubilee and Gambit showed up.
Those are my four favorite Marvel women (well, minus Emma Frost) and I can honestly say I’m glad they’re not on a team together. Maybe if Mystique wasn’t involved it would be more appealing, but given that she backstabs someone at least twice a week, any team with her on it would automatically feel forced and the characters dumb for trusting her even a little bit.
